External Reviews and/or Post Mortem Notes

Assignment: Upload and/or cut and paste 1-2 post-mortem reviews from your cocktail. Post-mortem (or post-pardum as some folks like to label them) include any published  and/or  formal review of your work. Normally these reviews are notes from either a faculty member, theatre professional or an a junior or senior theatre major with experience in directing. Ask at least 1-2 people to write reviews for you, return them to you at most 2 days after cocktails have closed and then you will upload (or cut and paste) their reviews here. Please inform reviewers that you are seeking both positive feedback as well as constructive criticism on your work in this review. Also inform them that the reviews need not be longer than 1-2 pages maximum. Please also thank the person who is writing you a review with a personal thank you card (not an email), or some small token or other show of professional gratitude. Please do not ask family members or very close friends (unless they are upper-class majors (or minors) with directing experience) to write reviews. Former drama teachers and/or directors are encouraged!

Remember, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND YOUR GRADE IF THESE REVIEWS ARE NOT RETURNED OR UPLOADED BY THE DIRECTOR’S BOOK DEADLINE: FRIDAY DEC. 11th

Grading Criteria:

  • Successful completion of assignment as dictated above.
  • Neat and well presented reviews.
