This site is designed to help you create your own Digital Director’s Prompt Book, which is a component of the THEA 240 Directing class at Bucknell University. Please see each tab for details on your assignments. There are 22 sub-assignments in all that make up a Director’s Prompt Book. For your first prompt book, the Scene Book, you will only need to complete 17 of these: you will not need to complete audition notes, design meeting notes, production reports from stage management, audition materials nor a final post-partum paper. You will also be allowed to pull visual research from non free-usage sites for your Scene Book only. For your Cocktail Book you will need to complete 20 of these 22 components. You will not need design meeting notes or reports from stage management. Advanced directing and THEA 319 will require all 22 components.
On this page should be a synopsis of your play, as interpreted by you (not lifted from the back of the play script or website) and maybe an image that relates. Refer to the Summary Assignment and Clip in Moodle on how to write an effective summary.
